One Wing

Friday night in the HA, after sick left, seahwk furis & i were keeping the lil bastards reputation alive & well. seahwk had to afk for 15 minutes or so, and i had just left Manston to find furis. in my spit V, 5 miles WNW of Calais i spot enemy engaging a fellow countryman. i roll inverted and pull down to the left to help....too late -swsh- has been killed by -DREX- .

i continue after drex with a vengence, remembering he shot down one of my squad earlier in the evening! he makes a few manuvers, and all i can think of is eadg's advise from our H2H practice. DON'T GIVE AWAY YOUR E, AND BE PATIENT!!!!!! well, i use this advise like it's religion.

drex cannot shake me, and yet i haven't fired. i don't want to waste my ammo without a good guns solution. finally, drex seems to stall out in climb while i am almost burning with energy. i pull crosshairs to lead him at 1 o'clock and THUMP THUMP, there goes a wing off the 109...hehe. i look at the map figuring that drex was all but dead, and turn back towards Calais waiting to see "kill of -DREX awarded to --yt-- from 487th lil bastards" and nothing.

i fly awhile more and still nothing. hmmm, i reverse and go looking for him. and to my disbelief i find him, FLYING WITH ONE WING!!!!! hehe's flip flopping right & left! i follow for awhile just to watch and he's doing a good job of it, but i had had enough. THUMP THUMP there goes the other wing. hehe try to fly now drex! i stick around and watch a fuselage plummet and hit ground, then i see what i was looking for.... "kill of -DREX awarded to --yt-- from 487th lil bastards" !!

we spoke over common freq, and i told him what i good job he did with one wing missing, he said i should have let him try to land. i pointed out the fact that he killed my CO earlier in the evening, and letting him live was totally unexceptable.

HA is a KICK IN THE ASS!!
