I was born in Seattle. We moved to Roslyn WA when I was 4 and that's where I call home (even though I live in Auburn Wa.). Some of you may be familiar with that area, ever see Northern Exposure?? Well Cicely AK is actually Roslyn...
I first saw WB's at a poker party a friend was having. They actually had to talk me into trying it. I have never been a gamer of anykind, and I wasn't all that interested. But.......my first sortie they put me in a p38, I got 2 kills, and deadsticked it in for a landing. I was hooked. 2 months later I had a computer and a WB's account hehehe.
As a newbie, I belonged to the ZSE boys, a squad made up of guys I work with. After about 2 months of playing, some guys named tanz & eadg asked me if I wanted to join the 487th. I told them I wasn't good enough to be in a real squad. No problem they said, we'll teach ya, and teach me they did! [as a side note here. when I first joined the 487th lil bastards, sick scared the HELL out of me!! he was very demanding and expected nothing BUT perfection....heheheh]
I am honored to be the FG's CO. It is a very rewarding experience to be involved with a group of guys who have a commonality, have never met face to face, who love and admire each other like brothers. This squad, in my opinion, is the best squad in WB's. But I MAY be biased =)
Another rewarding experience is being a trainer. If it wasn't for the training that sick, eadg, bonger & pnus gave me, I could not have made it. I will always be in their collective debt.
